Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Variko Inc (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Golazo game, the Golazo website (golazoapp.io), the Golazo mobile applications for iOS and Android, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Company Information

Golazo is published and distributed by:

Variko Inc
30 N Gould St Ste N
Sheridan, WY 82801
United States

For any privacy-related inquiries, please contact us at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

Golazo does not require an account. There is no signup, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or password to play. The categories of data we may collect are:

  • Account identifier: a random, anonymous account id generated by the app the first time you open it. It is stored securely on your device and identifies your game profile to our servers. It is not derived from your hardware and is not shared across apps.
  • Profile data you choose to provide: an optional display name and country flag set in the app's settings.
  • Gameplay data: quiz results, draft picks, progress, streaks, and onboarding state associated with your account id.
  • Purchase & subscription data: the products you bought, subscription status, and entitlement state. We do not collect or store credit card numbers or banking details (see “Payment Information” below).
  • Device & technical data: device type, operating system, app version, language, approximate region (derived from IP), and crash or error diagnostics needed to keep the Service stable.
  • Usage data: product interactions such as screens viewed, features used, and in-app actions, used to improve the game and fix bugs.
  • Support communications: any information you choose to send us when contacting [email protected].

Payment Information

We do not directly collect or store your credit card number, banking details, or other financial information. Payments are processed by the platform you purchase on:

  • iOS (App Store): payments are processed by Apple via In-App Purchase. Apple handles your payment, billing, and tax data in accordance with Apple's privacy policies.
  • Android (Google Play): payments are processed by Google through Google Play Billing.
  • We use RevenueCat to validate App Store / Google Play receipts and synchronise your subscription and entitlement status with your Golazo profile. RevenueCat receives your device id and the purchase metadata (product, transaction id, status) but not your payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Recognise your device profile and keep your progress across sessions
  • Track game progress, streaks, and statistics
  • Process purchases and manage subscriptions
  • Send push notifications you have opted in to (see Section 12)
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Moderate display names to keep the game safe
  • Analyze usage trends to improve the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Analytics & Diagnostics

We use product analytics and diagnostics tools to understand how players interact with the Service, fix bugs, and improve the experience:

  • Product analytics (PostHog): aggregated in-app actions, screens viewed, app version, device type and OS version, plus crash and diagnostic data to keep the app stable. We do not record your screen.
  • Mobile attribution (Adjust): we use Adjust GmbH as our mobile measurement partner to understand which marketing channels drive new installs and to attribute in-app events (such as subscriptions) to the campaigns that referred them. Adjust receives device identifiers, your device model, OS version, IP address (used to derive coarse country/region and then discarded), and install/session timestamps. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier (IDFA) is only enabled if you allow it through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt; if you decline, attribution falls back to Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork postbacks. Adjust acts as our processor and is contractually restricted to using this data only to provide attribution services to Golazo.

To opt out of mobile analytics or Adjust attribution, contact [email protected]. On Android you can additionally reset or limit the Advertising ID from Settings → Google → Ads; on iOS you can withdraw tracking permission from Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data in the following circumstances:

Service providers. We share data with trusted third parties that help us operate the Service. The current list of sub-processors includes:

  • Apple — payment processing and subscription management for iOS purchases.
  • Google — payment processing for Android purchases through Google Play Billing.
  • RevenueCat — receipt validation and entitlement synchronisation for in-app purchases.
  • PostHog — product analytics.
  • Adjust GmbH — mobile measurement partner used to attribute installs and in-app events to our marketing campaigns. We do not display third-party ads in the app.
  • Moderation providers — display names are checked by an automated moderation service to filter offensive content.
  • Cloud hosting providers — for application hosting, database storage, asset delivery, and notification delivery.

Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your device profile is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Request portability of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at [email protected]. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

You can also start a deletion request from inside the app: open Golazo → Settings → Delete Account. Step-by-step instructions are on our account deletion page. Account deletion removes your device profile and the personal data associated with it, except where we are required to retain certain records for legal, regulatory, or anti-abuse purposes (for example, payment records may be retained by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat as required by tax and accounting law).

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected].

9. Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, the App Store, Google Play, or social networks when you share results). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

11. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to, and processed in, countries other than the country in which you reside. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we operate.

12. Push Notifications

We may send push notifications to keep you updated about activity in the Service (for example, daily challenge or streak reminders). To deliver them, your device registers a push token with us that we forward to Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) to route the message to your device. You can turn push notifications on or off at any time in the app's settings or from your device's notification settings.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
